01 — THE BRIEF
A school moving faster than its website.
Kingsley School Devon is an independent day and boarding school in Bideford for children aged 2 to 18, founded in 1884 and set inside the UNESCO North Devon Biosphere. It is home to the only Surf Academy embedded in a UK school curriculum, and its boarding community draws families from more than 20 countries.
We had looked after Kingsley's website on our Scale programme for two years, and search had become one of the school's strongest admissions channels. Our SEO and GEO work was bringing in families directly, including more and more who found the school through AI tools, families who would otherwise have arrived through paid education agents.
The platform underneath was holding that progress back. Every change through the school's previous web provider was slow and expensive, and independent school marketing moves quickly. Kingsley needed a site that could keep pace with them: their new visual identity applied across every page, every page of copy restructured, and full control over the details that drive search and AI visibility, from page titles and descriptions to schema markup and llms.txt.

02 — APPROACH
Audit, design, build and migrate, in 45 days.
We started with a full audit of the old site, mapping every URL, what ranked and what parents actually used. From there we rebuilt Kingsley in Webflow around the way families choose a school: five clear divisions from Nursery to Sixth Form, admissions in four steps, and the school's distinctive programmes given the space they deserve.
The content moved into a structured CMS, so the school's team can run it day to day: hundreds of news stories, every GCSE and A Level subject, nine scholarship routes, staff profiles, student stories and open days. Every old URL was redirected to its new home before launch, so the search equity built over two years carried straight across.

03 — Outcome
A website that keeps up with the school.
The new site launched on schedule, 45 days after the first audit, with its rankings held and climbing. It carries forward two years of search growth, in which organic traffic grew fourfold and AI-driven enquiries rose sharply. Each family who finds Kingsley directly saves the school around £9,000 in agent fees.
The school's team now publishes news, updates policies and adds pages themselves, without waiting on a provider or paying for every change. And with every title, description, schema type and llms.txt fact under its own control, Kingsley can keep sharpening how it appears in Google and in AI answers as the market shifts.
